This is the main trailer title graphic for Disney's Maleficent 2. During pre-production, Disney sent a simplified PSD file as a logo reference to the studios who were all working on various versions of the trailer for the upcoming film. The brief was pretty open, with the only stipulation being to make it feel a part of the Maleficent universe.
This was before the updated Cinema 4D cap system was implemented, so to make this piece work, I had to go back and individually model each of the letters (and Disney logo) based on the 2D files we were originally sent. Made a few variants on the title animation and had some fun with trying to create a quick teaser for the film.
This take on the logo animation ended up being selected by Disney to be used across all of the initial Domestic and International trailers. The video shows the final selected logo, along with the proposed alternatives and tease graphics that unfortunately didn't get chosen.
